Hi Nick,
I added you as a moderator. But this is not a forum to argue for 'particles'. Would be like joining an evolution forum to discuss god.
Simplicity / necessary connection from the dynamic unity of reality (space and its wave motions) is the foundation here.
Anyway, the forum is about to be locked for 6 months - so we will see how it goes when we get back.
