This is NEWS I have sent to friends at the Quantum Science Center:
Hi! Some news travels fast and some doesn't. Just in case you have missed late news concerning the quantum Wave Structure of Matter (WSM), the following should pique your taste buds:
1. The website constructed by Karene and Geoff Haselhurst, http://www.SpaceAndMotion.com in Australia. has been beautifully built so that it is a complete history of WSM philosophy from the Greeks to the present . It is a very impressive accomplishment and receives 20,000 page views per day. Clearly, the world is becoming curious about the true physics of Nature. Take a look yourself!
2. If you have thoughts of your own to contribute, you can join the WSM forum:
http://www.physics-philosophy-metaphysics.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=18
3. Sleepy academia is waking up. M.I.T. recently awarded the $500K Lemmelson prize to Carver Mead at Cal-Tech for his book "Collective Electrodynamics" (2000, MIT Press) that applies the WSM to the design of magnetic domains in micro-chips. His work is being used by the Intel Corporation. You can buy it at Amazon.com
4. The next $500K prize could be yours!!! New valuable applications will be found in the nanotechnology arena where critical binding between molecules occurs at small (quantum wave sized) dimensions. This could be in medicine (enzyme processes, immunity, hormones, etc.) and improving metallurgy (binding of alloying elements with base metal) and transmission of electric energy (Recall, that electron flow is really a wave guided in a wire) and many others. You can be sure that either there is no present explanation of these tiny phenomena, or that the present one is wrong. The is because the 'particle' notion of matter is wrong.
Carver mead followed this path because he realized that the explanations of magnetism were wrong and that electron flow was really a wave.
Remember, when you get your prize, you have to give me ten percent because I told you about it!!
Good luck,
Milo Wolff |
