"When forced to summarize the general theory of relativity in one sentence: Time and space and gravitation have no separate existence from matter. ... Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially extended ... thus the concept of particles cannot play a fundamental part, ... and can only appear as a limited region in space in which the field strength or energy density are particularly high."
(Albert Einstein, Metaphysics of Relativity, 1950)
"It is my firm belief that the last seven decades of the twentieth century will be characterized in history as the dark ages of theoretical physics. ... The quantum world is a world of waves, not particles."
(Carver Mead, Professor Emeritus at Caltech. Received $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize in 1999)

Hi All,
This section of the forum is for 'Completed Articles by Subject" - it will have around 100 posts sorted by title. Titles to be descriptive and in hierarchy like an encyclopedia.
e.g.
Metaphysics: Heraclitus: Logos, Flux, Dynamic Unity of Reality
Metaphysics: Albert Einstein: Continuous Field Theory of Matter in Space-Time
Physics: Quantum Theory: Particle Wave Duality
Physics: Quantum Theory: Collapse of Wave Function
Physics: Quantum Theory: Probability Waves
Cosmology: Hubble Redshift with Distance
Cosmology: Definition: Universe - Finite Spherical
Cosmology: Definition: Space - Infinite Eternal Continuous Wave Medium
Cosmology: The Big Bang Theory: Problems and Solutions
Before we start creating individual posts / pages we should complete this list - so please add suggestions below and once agreed we can add them here (above).
The top section / first post for each of these subjects should be a short concise summary. This can be followed by further comments / discussion. I would link to these subject pages from related pages at spaceandmotion website - to encourage more people to forum to discuss different subjects.
Only Moderators can post in this section.
Hope this makes sense.
I will work on it over next few days to get it up and going, then slowly fill content over next 3 months as i work on spaceandmotion site.
Basically it should end up being an easy reference / summary / solution to the main problems of knowledge.
Cheers,
Geoff |

HI All,
I think this section needs the most attention. If we can define things easily and necessarily, it will save a lot of time and effort in the future.
Here are a few thoughts to add to the above suggestions...
Metaphysics: Could be broken down into obvious sections relating to past intuitions of WSM, i.e. 'The Greeks'; 'Taoism'; 'Hinduism'; 'Modern Theology'; 'Myth & Metaphor'; 'Mysticism', etc...
Most people seem to approach the forum with one of these as an intrinsic way of thinking, and will thus be carrying ideas of such with them as they try to understand WSM.
I feel the biggest 'objection' people usually come up against is their own biased understanding, so this could be a way to break down previous assumptions and find out how they relate to the Truth of existence.
Also, we will not be able to avoid the 'problem' of 'mind' until people attempt to understand exactly what this 'mind' is, and how it fits in with WSM. It is, after all, the very tool we are using to put all this together. I guess I will be seen as biased myself, but I feel that a 'Psychology' section is essential.
Or, how about an over-all 'science' section, that includes psychology, as well as the more established biological and chemical sciences; show how things all have a necessary wave-structure to them, and follow patterns layed down by the nature of their existence.
Evolution: Darwinian Theory and more recent additions.
Probably plenty more that we will happen across before too long..
Steve. |

Psychology is very important to all of this. You have the understanding to relate psychology to a continuous wave medium. Somewhere in all of this we do need a solid break down of the very word 'mind'. People have a broad perspective of the word 'mind' these days so we need some sort of 'clear understanding' of the 'medium itself' ranging through the evolution of it's 'matter' to the 'human mind'-so we can see where exactly 'mind' enters into space and then 'connect it' through evolution to the 'human mind'.
space wave medium??????????????????????????????????????human mind
If 'mind' is simply another word for having a 'physical brain' then this is very easy find. We need only locate the origins of a physical brain in the process of 'space wave evolution'.
If the word 'mind' is associated with the word 'knowledge', or even the word 'consciousness', as energy exchange requires, then 'mind' is detectable from the formation of the finite ssw center forward. This would suggest that 'all finite matter' is 'mind', as all finite matter uses 'knowledge', or 'consciousness', in it's necessary energy exchanges.(it's conscious of distance and location etc.)
Both ways of looking at it here have 'mind' as being subject to the 'finite' aspects of 'infinite space' which is what the site is suggesting anyways-'mind and matter' are 'many things' that are connected by 'one continuous space wave medium'.

Hi All,
I agree with all of the above - I think we just need to start creating pages when we find / think of good knowledge - And make sure titles are precise and as completely descriptive of content as possible.
(Please go through your old posts - you will find a lot that can be cut and pasted - and if you use firefox then use control key to open up several windows as tabs then it makes it easy to cut from one forum page - add to a post in another page / section.)
Then we discuss them, jointly edit them over time - so we are left with short concise summaries at the top of each post, followed by our discussions (which must stay focused on the precise subject - no ramble / getting off topic).
I will do my bit - but for next week I just want to concentrate on the simple science pages for spaceandmotion - I am most keen to show you the new improved style!!
Cheers,
Geoff |
