"When forced to summarize the general theory of relativity in one sentence: Time and space and gravitation have no separate existence from matter. ... Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially extended ... thus the concept of particles cannot play a fundamental part, ... and can only appear as a limited region in space in which the field strength or energy density are particularly high."
(Albert Einstein, Metaphysics of Relativity, 1950)
"It is my firm belief that the last seven decades of the twentieth century will be characterized in history as the dark ages of theoretical physics. ... The quantum world is a world of waves, not particles."
(Carver Mead, Professor Emeritus at Caltech. Received $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize in 1999)

I missed this site the first time I posted so thought I'd better introduce myself. I am an artist from Oklahoma, married to a wonderful (but VERY analytical) man who is studying astrophysics. I spend my hours painting and studying about philosophy, art theory, physics, poetry, and much, much, more. It looks like I will also be spending many hours exploring this website. It all looks very intriguing.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for joining forum and saying hello.
Your art website is very nice, hope you enjoy sharing some of it on our forum.
And it will be interesting to hear your thoughts (and your partners) on the Wave Structure of Matter and its consequences for Cosmology / Astrophysics (as WSM Cosmology, founded on Finite Spherical Universe within Infinite Eternal Space, contradicts current Big Bang creation theory).
Glad you find WSM 'intriguing'!
All the best,
Geoff and Karene |

As I study more of it I know I will be posting my thoughts and opinions, so far it seems to blend so nicely with my theory of art and of life really. For now, I will hold onto the idea "better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you a fool than open you mouth and remove all doubt". After I digest more of the information on the site I will feel more comfortable discussing it. Certainly this is not something that can be taken all in in a few days time:!:
