Getting Started with Practical Philosophy Forum Section

Hi Geoff,
I'm thinking a business section should generate some cash flow which would be used to promote / complement WSM section - "hire help".

I would be interested in designing some moneymaking ideas for your consideration on some revenue sharing basis. I'm interested in covering my costs and making a couple dollars too.

Business section needs to tie the WSM to the wave structure of business - look at using a common language - focus on benefits instead of profit - wisdom instead of greed. (Comment added by Geoff - we should try and harmonise the two!)

Let me know your interest / thoughts / ideas on this

I think this is a great idea.
A couple of things;
1. I would prefer to set it up under a broad 'Practical Philosophy' section
that includes business, politics, group dynamics and management, education,
art, ...
2. I think mixing money / profit with doing good things is a good idea (I
live off money we earn from our philosophy shop - so it pays me to work on
philosophy).
3. I think it would be a good idea to run this by other main forum users for
their opinion. You can include my comments and support if you want.

I am not interested in money - just getting true knowledge into world so it
functions better - stops harming itself (and me / my family). Money clearly
is central to this in a market / business dominated world.

I really respect what you are trying to do - as I have repeated many times - if my contributions are small to begin, it is only because I am busy
thinking about how to write up WSM most simply and convincingly.

If most are happy then we will proceed. I can add you as admin, set up new forum section.

PS - I think all of the above 'setting up' things are now done - lets move on - set things in motion.

PPS - I have two nice smart artistic people writing to me at the moment interested in working on a film documentary on WSM / truth and reality.

On the Business section, any environmental business would tie in nicely. Recycling, home power generation, gardening, earth friendly building methods and material. All these can be tied in with W.S.M. and I am sure there are fields that demonstrate inter-connectivity.

Waves are often used in art. Arts and crafts which incorporates waves could be a good sale item. Pottery is more earth friendly than metal, less energy to make it and broken crockery is an excellent additive for poor soil when it is discarded.

Inventions could be another item in this section. We had one person with a devise for generation power from ocean waves. Several others have posted about alternate energy and related topics.

One approach I can think of is to and a section to your store where people can place an order for these items with your site, forward the sale to them for some agreed fee or percentage.

Another is to sell ad space for them.
